About My Yarn Oasis

Hi, I’m Crystal, the maker behind My Yarn Oasis. I’m a wife, mom of six, and full-time IT professional who would really rather be crocheting. My life is pretty full, but apparently, there’s always room for more yarn.

I spend my workdays in technology, so making something with my hands gives me a different kind of satisfaction. Especially when that something ends up with tiny antlers, a squishy belly, or a face I get a little too attached to before putting it up for sale.

But crochet means more to me than cute things and a yarn collection we don’t need to discuss.

It has given me something steady to turn to through some of the hardest seasons of my life. When my mind won’t quiet down or the day feels heavy, there’s comfort in having something small to work on. Sometimes I finish an entire creature. Sometimes I manage a few stitches. Both count.

That’s the heart of My Yarn Oasis. It’s the little corner of my very busy life where I can breathe, create, and let my imagination take over.

Here you’ll find soft plushies, whimsical woodland creatures, and little things made to bring a smile. I have a particular weakness for making things that look like they belong in an enchanted forest and also need a hug.

Every piece is crocheted by me, somewhere between work, family, and saying “let me finish this row” when I absolutely mean several more rows.

My hope is that something I’ve loved making becomes something you love having. A gift for someone special, a little comfort on a hard day, or a slightly unnecessary creature you saw and immediately decided was coming home with you.

I understand that last one completely.
